I have been working at Oakes Children's Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team of highly dedicated staff; terrific place to learn about doing excellent work with a population of clients who are typically underserved; outstanding clinical training; opportunity for movement up within the company; admin really emphasizes self-care of staff

    Cons

The facility itself is in need of some upgrades and more private work space.

    Advice to Management

Continue to emphasize self-care of staff and to keep seeking diversity in staff.

    I worked at Oakes Children's Center full-time

    Pros

Meaningful work, great for gaining experience working with emotionally disturbed youth. Great kiddos and supportive floor staff/clinical team.

    Cons

Management is out of touch. Used to be a place where they appreciated staff opinions, especially those on the floor dealing with behaviors. New management came in and created a huge disconnect. Often times work feels scary and unsafe; little to no support.
