    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Oakland University full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Instructional and material support
    Accredited programs

    Cons

    Hostile Work Environment in SON
Hierarchy/Pecking order. PhD's are arrogant without substance and hostile toward of adjunct faculty
Tenured faculty do not exhibit good work ethics and many need to resign-been there too long
Students threaten faculty with appeals when they receive the grade they deserve instead of higher grades they demand
Unions support upper management and tenured faculty instead of due paying adjunct faculty
Adjunct Faculty must travel to off site campuses, most quite a distance, with no mileage reimbursement
    Lack of diversity

    Advice to Management

Hire faculty who excel in teaching students while holding them accountable and responsible for their education. All instructors should have ongoing clinical experience in the subject they teach-not their own "private practice". No more spoon feeding and treating students like customers. Stop gossipy factions within the SON and the undermining of adjunct faculty.
