I have been working at Oberthur Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The technological environment is interesting, some products and innovations are very cool.

    Cons

I was hired to replace an engineer in the R&D team who moved in another service of OT. During my first day, nobody explained to me how the service works or who is involved in which project. After one month, I didn't have any project to manage, only samples to make. No team spirit, no work to do, no perspectives. The job did not match what have been said in the job offer and the interview.

    Advice to Management

If you hire new engineers, make sure there's work to do, projects to manage and real issues to adress. I did not study all these years to do such a boring job. It's the best way to lose young people with great potential and willing to do a good job.

Former Employee - That Would Give IT Away in Exton, PA

I worked at Oberthur Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people you work with, they are like family.
Steady paycheck, always paid on time.
A lot of areas to gain experience.

    Cons

The people you work with, they are like family. Family is not always pleasant.
Pays enough to keep you, but not enough to live life fully.
Constant schedule changes, making employees take vacation time when "slow", but then ordering mandatory overtime a week later.
Not much room for growth, salary caps are too low, no exceptions for cost of living. You can be working there for 10 years with no merit increase.

    Advice to Management

Stop ruling by fear. Get organized and get paperwork to your employees on time. Be more professional. Stop making people take vacation time one week, then making them work overtime the next week.

I have been working at Oberthur Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Advice to Management
