Pros
I think that occassions is a great job. I think that the connections you make can make your job experience great. The pay is pretty good, I am younger so this is a job that I can do efficiently. Fair job positions for each shift, they put anyone elderly on Coat Check. I personally like to work hard and under pressure because it builds my experience, most of the time the events can be slow but once you get a hang of it, it’ll be fine.
Cons
Need to work on team building, sometimes staff can be disrespectful. People in kitchen can be rude sometimes, just ignore them and go about your day and try to work with them but do not let yourself be disrespected. If someone calls to call out please do not be rude, ESPECIALLY if your job is sitting in the office. Many people do ride public transportation so do not be mad if they are late, try to be understanding because there are multiple people on those shifts most of the time.

Pros
Creative, fun and nice people
Cons
Long hours and demanding role

Pros
Supposed to be fun and flexible.
Cons
I was recommended to Occasions by a friend. The pay is okay but they don’t get back to you. When they do schedule you they make so many changes. Last minute cancellations after you confirm. Short days are the worst. Not one manager is in charge.

Pros
- Free lunch. Though half of the time it's not great. - Warehouse staff, Chefs, Captains, and Kitchen staff are the best.
Cons
They are not inclusive in terms of promotions, pay, and mentorships for people of color. - Most, not all, Senior Leadership and AE's are rude and do not respect boundaries. - Work people to death. - Enable unprofessional behavior among staff, as long as they are making the company money. - Have been sued multiple times for discrimination among other things. - 5 days a years of PTO. That's it. - No work life balance.
