    Pros

Got to experience a lot of new technologies.

    Cons

As with any company dependent on the oilfield, when times get tough you are viewed as a number. Layoffs based on how much money can be saved and not talent retention.

    Advice to Management

When things pick back up don't grow too big too fast. Hold on to the talent and skills.

    Pros

Company can be successful in oil and gas service industry if run correctly.

    Cons

Company is run like a 1940's good old boys club with male dominated clicks, constant backroom fighting internal politics. Relatively new executive management that is destroying the 50 company culture that established it's success in the industry. Employee moral is bad due to poor senior management.

    Advice to Management

Come down from your ivory towers and see how the company is run first hand, management by intimidation and fear will drive good employees away once the industry rebounds

    Pros

Great technology and a number of very good people still left.

    Cons

The company has populated itself with more vice presidents and senior vice presidents than it has ever had in its history starting with the 2015 downturn. Yet thousands of people, especially directors/middle managers have been let go. Jobs are being downgraded to managers and below who have neither the experience or knowledge to support any turnaround. Oceaneering has become a Baker Hughes / FMC clone and far from the company it once was. It is a ship without a rudder.

    Advice to Management

    You can't shrink to greatness.
