    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Shop employees are a great group. Employees are dedicated to satisfy company satisfaction and needs.

    Cons

Management has habit of upsetting motivation thru lack of communication and bullish mindset. Company needs to implement and enforce quality standards across the board. Idea's and suggestions are not exactly welcomed with open minds. It's their way or the highway.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally and express more compassion hoping to improve motivation and positive atmosphere in the work force. Start trusting employees with their knowledge and experience.

    Pros

Middle management works very hard and is committed to the success of the company. There are a lot great people there.

    Cons

Upper management behaves in a tyrannical manner. They choose to replace intelligent employees with incompetent ones (while having the former employee tutor their replacement) just to save a bit of money during the downturn of the oil and gas industry. HR is useless. Upper management uses intimidation to control its employees. There have not been any bonuses or pay raises in years.

    Advice to Management

Question whether or not it makes sense to replace an excellent employees with an inexperienced ones just to save the company a little bit of money.

    Pros

Wonderful co workers for the most part. Very knowledgeable in their field. Safety is better than most in the industry.

    Cons

Management is out of touch and under skilled. Family feel and job confidence has been lost due to down turn in market. You are a number.

    Advice to Management

Needs to learn what it takes to actually takes to mobilize a job. They have lost touch. This is not the 70's and 80's any more. Communicate more.

As an employee, you carry the weight of the company. There is little if not any support from Management.

    Advice to Management

Get involved. Show your employees you support and appreciate all of those long hard salaried hours.

    Pros

Fascinating work; great stories to tell. Their culture of safety is taken VERY seriously, and is something they are rightfully proud of.

    Cons

Untalented people in charge of some VERY talented and skilled engineers. Management constantly second-guessing and thwarting good works by their employees.

    Advice to Management

I have to think that you feel the people in charge are geniuses, and the people in the trenches / on the front lines are imbeciles. Not true. You're going to continue to lose more and more of your talent, until you've got nothing left.

    Pros

Loaded with talented people willing to put in long hours and heroic effort to get projects done on time. People are mostly willing to help each other out and share their knowledge.

    Cons

Current IT leadership is short sighted and favors those who are yes men. Leadership does not have any clue on who actually does the job, thus some people take ownership for achievements that they had nothing to do with. Projects that have no business of being done and proving to be costly are unfortunately the norm.
