I worked at Oceaneering International full-time

    Pros

Good competitive pay and excellent benefits.

    Cons

A history of weak management since the smaller company was bought out by Oceaneering. Too many ex-Navy with not enough real world experience.

    Advice to Management

Having prominent ex-Navy names associated with your company should at least be backed up with good business minds.

I worked at Oceaneering International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work, good experience with many different aspects of the business

    Cons

Regularly put in 60 or more hr weeks (being salary with no overtime) to get projects out. There is also too much resistance between departments even with a common goal which was extremely frustrating at times. I was tested in adverse situations too early with a lack of guidance. It was a real sink or swim culture with too much finger pointing when things went wrong.

    Advice to Management

Upper management was good, immediate supervisors need leadership training and or more management experience to respect employees and nurture potential.
