I have been working at Oceans Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

As a recent new hire, this company allows for flexibility. I am getting hands on experience managing employees at various locations and am looked upon as an expert in documentation improvement for providers and staff. There is no micro-managing and you are allowed to tailor your department to fit your facilities needs'. I have been privileged to take my past experiences and implement action plans for an overall, positive environment with the support of my fellow Oceans Team.

    Cons

Behavioral healthcare is a challenging environment, but allows for more one on one interaction with each patient and staff member as compared to a large scale hospital where most of the patient population would receive care.

    Advice to Management

After taking part in administrative duties, I have a company that takes each of their employees' values very personal. I see a future in this company, especially to giving our youth employment opportunities.

    Pros

They allow you to be more independent while working and hands on with patient care. The pay is okay and the work is fast pace.

    Cons

Too many family and friends working in one place makes the turnover great if “they” don’t like you.

    Advice to Management

Keep going in the direction you’re going in, it’s seeming to come together.

Great coworkers. Great community education team. Provided cell phone and company credit card.

    Cons

Goals for territories continue to rise every month regardless of environmental factors. Little to no stability in position. Bonus structure is confusing and extremely difficult to achieve.

    Advice to Management

    Change methods of motivation.

I have been working at Oceans Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Oceans is a great company with many great people. We have a small corporate office which is nice, because you can touch a lot of different things, and have exposure to departments you might not necessarily communicate with much. Very hard working, but flexible environment.

    Cons

Can be a very demanding environment. Difficult industry, but one that is improving every day. I'm proud to be a part of such a challenging and stimulating industry, and helping to erase the stigma of mental healthcare.

    Advice to Management

Keep taking care of your employees. They value and treasure what they do. Acknowledge them when it's not a scheduled event.
