I worked at Ocwen Financial (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay and benefits were good and incentive pay encouraged you to perform at your best. Management was supportive and overall culture was good. I learned a lot about the mortgage industry and about varying loan types within the 3 1/2 years I was with the company. I enjoyed helping customers keep their homes and find resolutions to their problems.

    Cons

Job duties did include collections which is inherently stressful. Customers could be difficult at times, but understandable as people's homes were involved. Call center environment meant meeting quotas and metrics both daily and monthly so always under pressure to perform. QA monitoring was fair, but quite tough and made you worry if you handled a particular call wrong or forgot an important detail. Job requires a very thick skin and is not for the faint of heart.

I worked at Ocwen Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

a consistent paycheck, PTO, health benefits, weekends off, and opportunity to move around to other locations if wanted.

    Cons

Layoffs, the company isn't profitable so they are letting people go and making cuts everywhere possible in order to lower costs. It appears to me that Ocwen doesn't emphasize very much on caring about their employees and as of lately are trying to change the public's opinion of them as a company with their "Ocwen cares" initiatives. Management is hit or miss their are some good managers and others that shouldn't be allowed to deal with people. All the constants cuts and moves and changes is stressful.

    Advice to Management

Management should definitely be provided training on how to effectively communicate and deal with people positively.
