I worked at Office Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Depending on the staff they were very flexible with my schedule and the management understood the actual trials the team faced to meet their goals. They understood we had sales goals and Warranty attachments but they were very realistic and gave very good instructions on better selling in my store

    Cons

Moving up can be challenging. In the four years I worked there depending on your staff you could face challenge after challenge to move up and the pay can be a bit dim compared to where you live.

    Advice to Management

Find the most successful stores and see what makes their team successful and what hiring techniques could other stores implement

I have been working at Office Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    (1) Constantly changing work environment, never a boring moment. (2) Seriously learning many computer skills, design skills, retail experience, and customer service skills. (3) The pay rate is pretty good.

    Cons

    (1) Automatic scheduling that can give weird shifts. (2) High-stress customer service environment. (3) Extreme expectations from Management on top of an already demanding to-do list in your everyday work.

    Advice to Management

Managers, be clear and up front with workers, don't talk about employees to other employees, we will eventually find out what you said. Also, don't micromanage, as w e usually know what we are doing. That said, try to be helpful if we seriously need help.
