I worked at OfficeTeam full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will learn a lot! You build and maintain your own book of business and you truly take ownership of your relationships. It's very much a team oriented environment as you depend on everyone to close job orders. I had a great experience with management who was never to busy to coach me when I needed it. The job itself is a tough job because you are dealing with people (who can be pretty unreliable) but management and your teams is there to work hard with you and success feels pretty damn good!

    Cons

It is staffing and sales so there are up's and down's as with any sales role so you have to learn how to role with the cycle and understand that hard work now might not come full circle for several months.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, regular one-on-one meetings are super helpful in understanding where you are and where there is room to improve. The entire management team in Raleigh is hands-down one of the best group of people I've gotten to work with.

    Pros

Quick placement from assignment to assignment.
    Friendly recruiters.
    Weekly pay.

    Cons

Recruiters have trouble understanding exactly what full disclosure means. Example: not giving the full details about an office environment before sending a candidate to the job, and, misleading about length of assignments.

    Advice to Management

Full disclosure, full disclosure, FULL DISCLOSURE!

    I worked at OfficeTeam full-time

    Pros

Have found work for me several times. They do actually reach out to you, which has not been the case in many other cities that I've applied.

    Cons

They don't really test to find the "best fit" job for you. Meaning, nothing regarding personalities, or work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Implement more detailed testing of personalities vs work environments.

I worked at OfficeTeam (Less than a year)

    Pros

My experience with Office Team was very positive. The onboarding process was very smooth. Most of their recruiters are very responsive and do their best to find relevant matches for candidates. I primarily requested long-term temporary positions and they never seemed to have difficulty finding new opportunities for me.

    Cons

On one occasion, there were two recruiters working on my placement with an organization. They didn't seem to be on the same page about some of the details which caused some temporary confusion. Everything worked out in the end, but I would highly advise verifying all assignment details just in case.

I worked at OfficeTeam part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you show merit, they will find you jobs, and get you the best wages they can. Jobs are usually just the right level of challenging to keep one interested. They also accommodate a lot of specific requests, (for instance, I didn't want to work anything that dealt directly with customers, so they would find jobs more in the back office areas).

    Cons

It's temporary work. At the end of one job, they'll try hard to find you another job ASAP, but sometimes there's just not one available for a few weeks. Other times, they'll get a job that needs to be filled *yesterday* so you can feel like you're dropping everything to get a job without much prep.

    Advice to Management

None really, they do a great job overall for what kind of work they provide. I've never had to deal with a bad work environment through them, always got fair pay, and benefits are available even for part timers. Seems to me they're doing everything pretty close to right.
