    Pros

Smart and responsible people, good products, and a good brand.

    Cons

Difficult to grow at an acceptable rate as a small public company.

    Advice to Management

Focus on doing the right thing for customers and employees and the rest will take care of itself.

I worked at Official Payments full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Managers at Official Payments are very interested in helping employees develop skills that will make them more valuable.

    Cons

Official Payments has been acquired by ACI, which was a wonderful thing for the Company, but caused many layoffs of great employees.

    Advice to Management

ACI's management is adept in transitioning employees into their organization. My only advice is to encourage rapid responses to emails from new employees. I encountered no issues related to communication, but I did observe some people having difficulties.

I worked at Official Payments as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I don't see any pros other than OPAY is giving jobs to people who don't have any talent or no where to go!

    Cons

Most of IT is full of Indians - caught between some Turkeys and Indians fights. It's nothing but joke as the ACI has bought the company and there is fears on every manager's face, which is funny as all of these don't know how to manage IT. The working conditions for contractors are very poor and they are treated like slaves.

    Advice to Management

Remove existing management including VP/director/managers cause they are all corrupted.

I worked at Official Payments full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great People to work with
    Good Technology basis for infrastructure
    Benefits are above industry Standards
Pay is at least industry Standard

    Cons

Lack of Vision for the long term.
Communication is still lacking, even after attempts to change culture.
Company is divided into too many "silos"

    Advice to Management

Create a "Long Term" vision, and a plan to implement it.
Several small "tactical" strategies do not a vision make.

    Pros

225 employee electronic payment processing company. Small enough to establish great working relationships with others in different department. Challenging to help grow and mature company to sustained profitability.

    Cons

Promotion opportunities very limited. Too small to be a public company.

    Advice to Management

Enjoy your change of ownership pay-outs.

    The company is growing.

    Cons

The IT department is poorly managed.

    Advice to Management

    CEO is great.
However, some of the managers are too inexperience and do not know how to treat their staff.
