I have been working at Ogilvy & Mather full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ogilvy is a company that actually cares about its employees. It strives to be the best in class in all ways. It falls short sometimes but I will always pick a company that is making an effort to do better than one that doesn’t care.

    Cons

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The more you complain, the more likely you are to get what you want whether you deserve it or not.

    Advice to Management

Management is doing better about listening to employees. Keep that up. It’s working.

I worked at Ogilvy & Mather full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learn a lot, very educational and everyone has different backgrounds, good benefits, good office

    Cons

Ogilvy is in the midst of a huge transition, and with that has introduced a complete lack of morale in the office. Employees are being taken advantage of, and Ogilvy has forgotten the creativity and one-of-a-kind nature it used to have.

    Advice to Management

Remember that the employees you hire are actual people rather than just dispensable pawns to trade with.

I worked at Ogilvy & Mather full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the smartest, most committed people I have ever worked with in the industry. The global Planning Talent was particularly outstanding.

    Cons

The WPP management of the brand was not particularly deft. That all may change with the departure of Sir Martin.

    Advice to Management

Do everything you can to keep the talent in Planning. There are lots of other places they can go, and it's always been a distinct asset for Ogilvy.
