    Pros

The people are great, hours are flexible, good work/life balance...and the work itself is engaging

    Cons

Career growth is lacking. Ogilvy & Mather is a great place to work if you want to stay in the job you are in. If you want to move forward or laterally to a new type of position that may prove difficult.

I have been working at Ogilvy & Mather full-time

    Pros

nice views of the Hudson from the office

    Cons

This review is for OgilvyRED only.

People hate working here and are desperately trying to get out. This is a hostile and toxic work environment. Despite several complaints to HR about workplace hostility and harassment by several employees, nothing has changed. Managers treat their employees extremely poorly and have very little respect for them.

If you’re considering joining OgilvyRED, I beg you not to come here. Don’t let the recruiter and RED’s marketing materials fool you, this place is falling apart. Just take a look at the other glassdoor reviews on OgilvyRED.

    Pros

theres a big name thats about it.

    Cons

b2b work, traditional old men who think they know everything. unconventional thinking is not promoted. no support to creatives. CDs are mediocre they gage every idea based on whether it will win a Canne Lion. If it won't they kill the idea.

    "Office politics"

    StarStarStarStarStar

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at Ogilvy & Mather full-time

    Pros

Surrounded by great people (in the Atlanta office), but majority of the great people are dropping off like flies (and not being replaced). Benefits are okay- only high deductible plans available. Pay is below average for the advertising industry, but having "Ogilvy" on your resume looks good.

    Cons

So many office politics at play and the boys club mentality is still pervasive. Ogilvy is known for never giving raises or promotions (who gives a promotion without a pay raise? Ogilvy does). So, make sure the original offer is good. The Atlanta office doesn't seem to get taken too seriously, as opposed to the other NA offices.

    Advice to Management

The employee morale is low, a lot of uncertainty. If you want to keep employees, maybe work on raises and upping the morale.
