I have been working at Ohio Wesleyan University full-time

    Pros

They are very helpful in growth and development of their employees. You can also take classes which is a plus.

    Cons

They have a high turnover rate. People tend to work for a few years in administration and leave for larger schools

    Advice to Management

They can get more out of the employees if they retain the employees better. Also their new moto is not the best. They would work on that.

I worked at Ohio Wesleyan University part-time

    Pros

    - Desk job
    - Money goes towards tuition

    Cons

    - Minimum wage
    - Only allowed to work 8 hours a week
-headsets and phones wear cheap and did not work properly
    - Cramped space
    - Coworkers and music were so loud couldn't hear the customer on the phone.
    - Several HR violations
    - No vacation or PTO offered.

    Advice to Management

Get a Manager with experience who understands HR policies. Nobody should have to explain that racially charged jokes of any kind are not appropriate. Provide phones and headsets that work and offer better training for all employees.

I have been working at Ohio Wesleyan University full-time

    Pros

Strong community supports one another, staff get a lot done with few resources.

    Cons

Current state of small private liberal arts colleges, lack of funds, and mercurial attitude of administration mean job insecurity and little room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with staff about the state of the college. Seemingly random firings of administrative staff and frequent turnover does not make the college seem like a stable place to work. Upper administration likes to micromanage, which does not help and makes staff feel unappreciated.
