    Pros

Friendly work environment. Treated employees with respect and kept us motivated. Management did pretty well for the most part.

    Cons

I don't have any Cons to say about this company. I never had any issues working there and would have recommended them to anyone.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing. Wishing the company would come back.

I worked at Oil & Gas Title Abstracting (More than a year)

    Pros

Was expanding quickly, work hard - play hard mentality, went on a hiring frenzy

    Cons

Grew to quickly, had to lay off over half of the new hires, poor training program and mentorship, drove the company into the ground when the oil and gas industry struck hard time's

    Advice to Management

Wish you all the best, you were great people but got stuck with some bad decisions that unltimately destroyed you.

I worked at Oil & Gas Title Abstracting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good intro into another, larger company. Got to learn lots of different counties. Fun place to work for if you were on the right team.

    Cons

After the company disbanded and was bought by another company, they chose one woman to run the company who only kept her friends around. I left shortly before this and I am glad I did. They let go of hardworking, deserving people with years of experience to keep the manager's friends around, who were basically useless. While I was there, 4 women were all Vice Presidents. Constant fighting between the four of them, including personal attacks behind closed doors. One person would say do it another and another would say she is an idiot and do it their way. Instead of constantly attempting to get more business, they placed all their work with one client and when that client pulled their work, they were done.

    Advice to Management

Get out of the management industry. You made a lot of people miserable. Learn to become a real leader and keep the good people around.

I worked at Oil & Gas Title Abstracting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - The people are great and extremely friendly
    - Fun work environment (depending on the team placed)

    Cons

    - pay is not great
    - little room to move up
    - Owner is nepotistic and does not know how to keep her company alive in rough times. As with many oil and gas positions large layoffs are frequent; however, the owner of OGTA never lays off her friends but instead gets rid of more deserving hard working employees.

    Advice to Management

    Get new management

    Pros

    Laid back atmosphere, friendly people

    Cons

Poor upper management, Vision for the future was poor, Would fire and re hire people constantly

    Advice to Management

Have a vision and idea for the future and go with it. Let the employees know what is going on. We're all adults we can take it, and we probably know whats happening anyways since everyone there talks behind each others back
