I have been working at Old Navy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have the best managers and coworkers. It's a very fun environment with great management and the company really takes care of its employees with treats for different occasions and rewards/acknowledgement for good work.

    Cons

Nothing stands out to me. Occasional difficult customers but a manager will take over if necessary.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the fun professional atmosphere and acknowledgement of employee effort!

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Old Navy has a very good employee discount that can also be used at Gap and Banana Republic. The store has a relaxing ambiance and in my experience the customers aren't extremely rude.

    Cons

All management cares about is the Old Navy credit card. If you don't sign any customers up for it they barely give you any hours and accuse you of not engaging the customers.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting so much emphasis on the Old Navy credit card. People on the sales floor should not have to juggle keeping the store orderly and pressuring customers into applying for a credit card.

I have been working at Old Navy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great discount & great product! When you make your sales goal and payroll goals you get a nice bonus.

    Cons

Corporate managers make budget cuts frequently which results in significant cuts in payroll! Hard to retain quality talent with a lack of hours. Each year the company wants you to produce more while they give you less!

    Advice to Management

Recognize and appreciate an asset when you have one! Good employees are hard to come by these days.

    - Area is really nice
    - employees are easy to talk to
    - managers are welcoming

    Cons

    -management plays favorites
-selling Old Navy card ( the more you sell the more hours you get)
    - they hardly give you hours
-if you're new they don't really train you and expect you to learn things on your own
-at times management is really pushy
    - people in the area are snobby and rude

    Advice to Management
