I have been working at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the customers and the coworkers and even the environment you work in is friendly and inviting. Job itself is pretty easy too

    Cons

downsides wold be the amount of hours you get. Although it is part time, but they are very flexible with your schedule which is pretty nice

    Advice to Management

hire some people to stay over night to fix and organize the shelves and tables, sometimes they get out of control.

I worked at Old Navy (More than a year)

    Pros

During my time there, I met and worked with some great people that I still keep in contact with.

    Cons

Company is more interested in selling their credit cards to customer's than actually providing customer service.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on your employees skills and talents and build up their lesser qualities instead of knocking them down. Provide better customer service to your customers.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

large discount on clothes, Generally friendly coworkers, flexible scheduling, positive environment, no dress code for the most part. The work isn't very difficult either, however it can be quite fast paced on busy days.

    Cons

If you don't have an open schedule you might end up getting very few hours. I went several weeks getting 0 hours. hard to advance or improve because of this. They also pushed ONCs like crazy when it isn't always realistic to be able to get them.

    Advice to Management

Spread out hours between employees more evenly, give a more reasonable amount of hours. Long breaks for no reason make adjusting to the store after coming back quite difficult.

they are everywhere which is helpful when you want to find a job.
    friendly
    open-minded
    giving
    caring

    Cons

they are everywhere which is annoying and part of globalization but I still don't like it. That's my opinion.
    friendly
    open-minded
    giving
    caring

    Advice to Management

don't be everywhere as it cheapens the brand. Remember, as part of the armed forces to value the brand and treat it special.

I worked at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you enjoy retail then this is a good job for you. They cross-train their employees so everyone knows how to do each others job. No dress code.

    Cons

This was easily the worst place I've ever worked at. You only get scheduled two days a week at most unless you're the top seller, then you get one additional day. They pay minimum wage, give 4 hour or less shifts 90% of the time, products change bi-weekly so you never know what has changed with your minimal shifts, they don't actually train you- you get walked around the store once and that is it.

    Advice to Management

Have a better training program, and don't hire a bunch of people and give few hours.
