Pros
I worked at Old Navy for over a year and it was great. Managers were nice and reasonable, pay was OK, and there wasn't really much drama. People are chill. Breaks, proper cleaning, and friendliness were all taken seriously.
Cons
Not much room for advancement, pay wasn't fabulous, maybe goal-oriented to a fault (very high pressure to get customers to sign up for cards/loyalty program).

Red Flag Central

Benefits - 401k Hybrid work
Cons
Leadership - Struggles to make basic designs along with too many leaders which then bottlenecks the work. Leadership has also made it a very unstable place to work. They are always getting rid of people that DO the work which then gives the rest of the people staying that amazing role change to an "expanded role." Inclusivity & diversity - When it comes to the workforce, especially leadership you'll quickly notice they have a common factor. They scream diversity but it doesn't show. Diversity in the work only appears for SOME of the divisions. Same with inclusivity, it just isn't a thing. Under paid for the current market rate within their HQ area. They are want you in the office and expecting even more and more work out of you and yet they don't want to pay you to do that.

Pros
I was an Amco at old navy for a year after being a regular associate and then a senior lead for about 6 months. I was given over 100 hours for training after getting promoted but in reality they send you to a store for 2 days to watch what someone else does, and then save the rest of your “training hours” to charge out for when they’re over on payroll and then blame you when you’re untrained. They give you little to no time to do the things you need to be successful at your job and in return I’ve seen many managers fake time sheets so they don’t get in trouble for hitting overtime from the higher ups. If you hit overtime you’re punished with a write up because you “lack time management” so I would see people working 50+ hours a week and only getting paid for 40. Old navy claims to be about equality and belonging but the managers i’ve worked with both district level and just on a store level are some of the most abusive bosses i’ve ever experienced. They say things like “you don’t deserve work life balance if you’re not meeting your metrics” and often threaten you with write ups for substandard job performance and even termination if you’re not meeting their impossibly high sales and credit card goals. If you even try to anonymously call the hotline on a general manager or district manager it comes back to them immediately and they will often know who it is
