I worked at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I started out as a Seasonal worker and then they kept me for a regular part-time worker. I got along with all of the Managers well since most of the people who were working here were students at the time and I would always open with the managers. They gave me a lot of hours because I was a good worker and had a lot of availability so that was probably why I got along with them well. It's a good starting job and good place for part-time!

    Cons

Not really any opportunities for overtime. The only time was one day after the black friday sales.

I worked at Old Navy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Old Navy is a good place to work if you are in school. They are generally flexible with your schedule and I love their hours for students. If you take morning or evening classes, you can still manage to work whenever you want since they open from about 8 am to 10 pm.

    Cons

I just wish they paid more and didn't put so much pressure on their employees to sell old navy cards, and if you do pressure us, at least offer us an incentive to sell. The employees get nothing out of it, so in turn, they get nervous and have no motivation to sell.

    Pros

    Great working environment, fast paced.

    Cons

    Very catty, somewhat disorganized,

    Advice to Management

It’s an awesome place to have your first job at but depending on the location and what tends to happen, it tends to be a bit of mess. My store changed every few days so imagine the next week I would work and things that I remembered being somewhere last week were now somewhere else. It was also, a bit disorganized and turned me off all the time. My store was kind of catty and dramatic to the point where I didn’t want to come into work because they were most likely talking about others.

I have been working at Old Navy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, good environment, fun to learn new things

    Cons

Corporate's constant expectations, even what we exceed them.
The less and less payroll the stores are given every year.
The constant push for selling credit cards with literally no incentive.
The cheapening of product, the constant upping of prices.
Moving up depends on who you know, who's friends with whom, and how well you kiss butt.

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate your employees, especially management.
Give the stores *some* payroll like the good old days.
Go back to basics with your clothes, the cheapening of product quality and upping of prices is driving your core customer away.
