    Pros

Great salary/benefits. Smaller hospital with a down to earth atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Keep more full time employees and less part time employees

I worked at Olmsted Medical part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    They treat you like family.

    Cons

I worked part time, every other weekend was my schedule & when needed to fill in. After only 3 months (12 days of actual work) I made a mistake setting up insurance in the system and was written up.

    Advice to Management

Give a verbal warning first before actual write up. Over all though, I haven't had any issues with management. If I didn't have to move out of state I probably would still be there.

I have been working at Olmsted Medical full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If you don't have a degree you can easily advance here because it doesn't matter what you know but who you know.

    Cons

Management cannot be trusted. Lied to my face multiple times. The transcription dept was told several times not to worry about their jobs as they would not be going anywhere until they day they were all fired in favor of outsourcing the work to India for a very cheap rate. They threw away over 200 collective years of experience. If they can do this to employees who have worked there 30 plus years, a new employee doesn't stand a chance.

    Advice to Management

Try hiring and promoting people based on their qualifications and experience. Also you ask for loyalty from employees but aren't loyal to them. I hope you can sleep at night with the damage you have done to people who were hard working, loyal employees.
