I worked at Ologie full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

This site, and particularly this page, has made me realize that all these reviews are based on individuals and you should take it with a grain of salt. Ologie is a great place and the only place I've ever been (4th job full disclosure) where I feel like the employees are cared about and taken are of. Yes, all companies have their issues, but if you can't handle it then it's just not the place for you. People are brilliant,...

    Cons

Some people can be cliquey but that's agency life pretty much everywhere. This place is at least mostly kind in and about its cliques.

I worked at Ologie full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The office is stalked with snacks and beverages. The clients were great and really enjoyable to work with most of the time.

    Cons

The culture here is extremely toxic. I see Ologie replied that one reviewer must have just missed experiencing direct feedback. No. Feedback is rarely given, and never direct. It's given behind your back, to your peers, in a nasty way which I experienced first hand and also indirectly through those around me on numerous occasions. Dozens of people are having the same concerns, it’s not a perception issue, it’s reality....

    Advice to Management

Company values are created through the actions of those leading the company. Reevaluate those in management roles. A lot of housekeeping is needed based on skills, performance, and ability to represent the company values. You need a leadership team ready and willing to jump in and get the work done instead of sitting back and watching projects fall apart. Huge tip-- the offices are not soundproof. It's disgusting...

    I worked at Ologie full-time

    Pros

Flexibility with schedule and managing work life balance.

    Cons

Poor management. Too many egos, very cliquey culture. Theres a "we're the best" arrogance that I think I don't think is paid off in its quality of work, environment or operations. Individuals are unequally / unfairly paid. Other individuals are in management positions that shouldn't be.

    Advice to Management

The culture needs some serious help. You talk a ton about values but I see a lot talking bout em rather then being about em. Ppl get caught up in doing things to be brag worthy rather than doing them to provide great work for clients or the fulfillment of doing good work in general.

I worked at Ologie full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Excellent benefits, very fair pay, a lot of growth opportunities and travel options. Very talented people.

      Cons

It was not a very supportive community or ideal workplace to be at everyday. A lightly toxic environment in that regard–a lot of cliques, gossiping, and back-stabbing at play (not aimed at me personally, just witnessed). Not everyone, but most seem to play into that behavior or at least don't put a stop to it. Didn't feel like I was part of a collaborative team, which I really value. In terms of the work, the focus on...

        Pros

Beautiful creative work, hard-working staff that cares about the work. Great opportunities if you're picked as a favorite.

        Cons

All agencies have cliques, but I have never felt so much like I was in high school as I did in the three years that I worked here. Another reviewer said it best - job status depends on how much leadership likes you, not the quality of your work. Saw a lot of great creative folks move on after being passed up for deserved promotions. There is a lot of running around pretending to be busy, staying late just playing on Facebook...

I worked at Ologie full-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

There are very high expectations for the level of creative work produced. The approach to client work is thoughtful, but the output varies little from client to client.

        Cons

Office politics are pretty bad. Job security is based on your relationships with the partners, not the work you produce. The partners fight often and create a negative culture that trickles down. Leadership lacks the general skills needed to run a profitable business ... yet they seem to still be making it work (I'm not sure how). Around February every year they do a round of layoffs - partly to clean house, partly because...
