If you're reading these reviews because you're trying to decide whether to take a job at Olympusat, read carefully. Accepting a job offer at this place after reading these reviews is like buying a defective product on Amazon even though every review says it is defective. Mind the reviews. Don't work here.

They talk up a good game making the business sound glamorous and profitable with great potential. The opportunity for growth with little pay is a proud item management will boast to convince you a poor salary and benefits package are worth the risk.

    Free Parking
    Diversity

    Cons

Upon joining the team you'll quickly learn how hypocritical people are, how much they value a "juicy" office story over quality teamwork, and how much internal competition is tearing teams apart. When someone with a manager title or upper leadership role is challenged to demonstrate knowledge, they quickly will prove to be incompetent. When their incompetence is revealed, they feel threatened and will do what is necessary to eliminate a threat.

If a leader is not "Latino", they are therefore defined as unworthy to lead by those team members working under that leader. This is a racist notion. To say that someone marketing to the Hispanic community must be Hispanic is disrespectful and unfounded. A great misfortune for those who can do more for the company but are held back due to this belief that keeps teams from supporting their leadership.

Instead of listening to the opinions of others, people take offense believing any suggestions contrary to their own are wrong and must come from a place of malice. Everyone is "watching their back" at this company instead of finding ways to work together to accomplish the greater goals.

    ***Employees Beware***
    Racism
    Gossip
    Backstabbing culture
    Lack of experienced leadership
Company decision makers do not value employees for their worth

    Advice to Management

Offer more competitive, true salaries for valuable employees. Eliminate anyone that's been there in a director or upper management role less than 10 years and start over.

    Pros

Good Benefits, some employees are nice - emphasis on some, diversity in the workplace, flexibility with schedule.

    Cons

CEO is promiscuous within the company, no employee appreciation, the company pays less than the average salary market rate, HR is PR, projects start rushed and last-minute but never get finished, huge focus on quantity not quality of work, budget is too busy being spent on partying rather than applying it to relevant resources that would benefit the company and it's employees.

    Advice to Management

    Just sell the damn thing

I have been working at Olympusat full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

CEO is very generous to his employees contrary to what some former employees say. I am sure they are now looking back and wishing they had not left. The benefits he offers are some of the best. Health, Dental 401K match is great. Growth potential is there. There are a lot of talented people here. If you put in the time you get rewarded period. Very Friendly atmosphere!

    Cons

Like any job you have your good apples and your bad apples. There are more good ones here than bad. Also It is a very busy company and accountability is high but it should be with a growing company. Some employees take advantage and do not appreciate what the CEO does for them.

    Advice to Management

This is way better than where I worked before. Keep being aggressive with growing the company!
