    I worked at Omni Hotels part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They had a cafeteria for employees and the pool chef would cook for the people working the pool area.
    Usually off work by 10pm, not bad for a wait staff position.

    Cons

    The "internship" was actually just a cocktail waitress position. We didn't learn anything about management, inventory, or anything that could be considered close to an internship.
    No Omni employees are allowed on any Omni property unless they are working or have permission from management, so you can't even eat at the restaurants attached to the hotels without prior permission from you manager.

    Advice to Management

    Make your internship program an actual internship not just a wait staff position.

    Pros

    Great benefits and pay concerning the position. My time was quite flexible as well.

    Cons

    Not a fan of the late night shifts.

    Pros

    The money is great. Teamwork is valued and everyone tries to help everyone. The managers are respectful and try to guide you as much as possible if you are new.

    Cons

    As part-time it is a little harder to get shifts every week. If the hotel is slow, than you may not be working that week.

    Met and networked with some amazing people, learned so much in a short period of time, experienced some wonderful opportunities

    Unorganized at times, disliked wearing a uniform, bad pay, unreliable management and promotion

    Have employees backs, keep worker confidentiality, work in a timely fashion

    Great opportunities for advancement and great associate recognition. I have been given great opportunities for growth and experience during my experience with Omni.

    Cons

    Department managers are limited to disciplinary action taken on associates. When we try to write up an associate, we get a little push back from the HR department. It kind of seems like we do not have their support at times.

    Pros

    Omni was the best place to learn what it means to provide exceptional service. Access to use awesome products woth my clients. This position afforded me the flexibility I needed to be more engaged with my children's education, goals and dreams.

    Cons

    Unpredictable salary based on appointments. There is not much room for growth in the spa industry. You pretty much are working for yourself or rather empowered to feel so.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to listen to your employees. They are the voice of the customer. Continue training, personal development while incorporating career pathing to retain talent.

    Pros

    Good managers, good benefits, good money, get to meet a lot of interesting people.

    Cons

    Working the 3-11 shift really cut out any social life. The middle of the week was really slow and made the 8 hour shifts very boring.

    Advice to Management

    There should be a bell captain to help make sure the bellman can do their jobs without wasting time waiting on other bellman, so that bell carts and luggage aren't left alone.

    One owner owns all properties and so the hotel standards are the same across the nation

    Cons

    Work-Life Balance is tipped in favor of work. Many company activities and benefits to offset that however.
