I have been working at Omnicare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1 hr lunch
    Not micromanaged
    Other staff is friendly
    You can listen to music
There's really not much nice to say. It started off good, then you learn the ins and outs and want to quit asap.

    Cons

Horrible supervisors, hours, pay, understaffed, no one teaches you anything, VERY boring and repetitive, no opportunity for advancement, hr is horrible about resolving issues with supervisors, the mysterious "point system" that no one can find documentation on but they penalize us for it, turnover is super high!

    Advice to Management

Inform employees of rules and regulations when they are hired, follow the same rules employees have to, increase pay for certified texts, DONT LIE to get us to do what you want, do not move employees to jobs they were not hired to do.

I worked at Omnicare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people were all very cool. Office setting with only outside customer interaction through the phone.

    Cons

Worked there 4 years before this review, so it might be better now. But management left a lot to be desired. Leadership was influx all the time. Technician Manager turnover was about every 6 months. Mainly told as a group how we were failing and never told when we were doing things well. Had to look to coworkers for positive reinforcement.

    Advice to Management

Provide some recognition for good workers and create a more positive work environment.

    Pros

No one really cares if it correct or incorrect as long as the medication gets paid for and eventually delivered just do the minimum and your soar.

    Cons

Reap what you sow....you sowed indifference and lack of integrity now you got it.

    Advice to Management

Good Luck. We are bleeding customers, look into the mirror

I have been working at Omnicare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hours work for my personal needs, not terribly hard if you have prior experience

    Cons

HUGE divide between pharmacists and technicians, technicians aren't appreciated for what they do, they hire anyone who applies so people who are doing PAs for meds they don't even know they are used for, what is expected of the technician depends on the pharmacist reviewing, processes change constantly, blatant favoritism of techs from management/supervisors

    Advice to Management

Be consistent with your expectations and appreciate what the techs do for you.

    Advice to Management

Please be understanding that we are human and make mistakes
