    I worked at Omnicell full-time

    Pros

People are helpful and nice, pays well, laid back atmosphere

    Cons

Communication between everyone is lacking, IT is really bad, morale is a little down

    Advice to Management

Make sure you include the people doing the work in the meetings about the project. Wipe out the local IT and start over.

I have been working at Omnicell full-time

    Pros

Tight family culture. People genuinely care about the products and hospitals they serve. People care about providing a better outcome for patients. Fast past growth company with a lot of opportunity to bring your expertise and make a difference.

    Cons

Company changes a lot due to growth. Some people do not do well with a company that has a lot of change. Some people will not like the hard work, travel, and long hours. Company is going from small to large company that brings with it growing pains.

    I worked at Omnicell full-time

    Pros

Over all Omnicell was a great place to work. I had a great manager and the company atmosphere was pretty relaxed.

    Cons

An increased in salary won't be bad.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.

I have been working at Omnicell as a contractor

    Pros

It's a great work atmosphere, particularly for engineers (Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, and Software) with at least a few years of experience. Wonderful benefits, including a great stock purchase program.

    Cons

Very "fend for yourself" atmosphere for those with entry-level skills. There are outlets to increase knowledge, but it's difficult when the workload is very high.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to employee feedback, particularly on the subject of working from home. If you're a software professional, you don't always need to come to work to get the job done. Judge an individual by the quality of their work, not by how often they are sitting at their desk.

I worked at Omnicell as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Enjoyed work, performing investigative analysis, dealing intimately with top health care provider in my region offered wealth of opportunities to gain experience

    Cons

Initial training on software left much to be desired, and would have appreciated more autonomy in decision-making

    Advice to Management

Too many software packages being utilized, should be consolidated to a handful. More thorough training upfront reduces questions and errors later

I have been working at Omnicell as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed the contract assignment, but I was really in search of a permanent job. At the time what I was qualified to do at the company was during third shift.

    Cons

As with many "contract" assignments there tends to be the lack of communication between the employer and the staffing agency.

    Advice to Management

Better communication to the contract employees.
