I have been working at Omnicell full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great co-workers who want to get the job done. Good team atmosphere. Unlimited vacation plus sick time for higher level positions. Great stock purchase plan. Flexible work arrangements.

    Cons

401k not up to par. Disconnect between upper management, marketing, and engineers. Understaffed. Easy to be overlooked if you aren’t on the latest and greatest project.

    Advice to Management

Consider less middle management and more of a team lead approach. Continue improving the 401k to be more competitive with the marketplace.

I have been working at Omnicell full-time

      Pros

Great team and staff collaborative environment.

      Cons

Poor transparency from the Executive team to the rest of the employees.

      Advice to Management

Meet with your teams more frequently, and provide information that is of value and not just the "company" line.

I have been working at Omnicell full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Great products. Has a strong vision of where they are going and can be customer focused.

      Cons

Management needs to realize that people come before profits. Tough to grow in this company or expand your opportunities within.

      Advice to Management

People before profits. Invest more in your people and your turnover will reduce.

I worked at Omnicell full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Market share; limited competitors in space; landscape is ripe for expansion and domination

      Cons

Poor culture. Limited advancement options. New talent will have challenges overcoming dogma from "established" leadership. Better options in Mountain View to focus your attention.

      Advice to Management

Executive team is unprepared to manage a multi-pronged, coordinated approach to growing market share. Still too dependent and focused on the core cabinet product. Executives are not self-aware and willing to acknowledge own short-comings. Acquired a lot of companies recently with great talent that has not been used effectively leading to poor integration and disappointing outcomes. Leveraging back log at this time...

      I worked at Omnicell

      Pros

Good Technology and well positioned in the market to continue growth. Good diversity of products to meet needs of the healthcare marketplace

      Cons

Founder is also the CEO, great technology guy. Hired a lot of Presidents in the past, but had hard time letting go and empowering the ones he hired.

I have been working at Omnicell full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

      The company is growing fast

      Cons

To many acquisitions and no one knows who to go to for anything. To many changes to screw over employees to save a penny. People not being held accountable for doing a good job and taking care of the customers.

      Advice to Management

Slow down, fix the processes we have. Take care of your employees, stop taking things from us and making the job harder for less.

I worked at Omnicell full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

If you are a recent graduate and looking to join this company than DONT. This is for software dev position at Raleigh NC office (Previously known as Ateb). You will be doing the same thing 100 times and there is nothing new to learn. The manager does not know how to manage the team. Manager is supposed to lead the team but here it is the salespeople who make the decisions.

      Cons

If you are going for an interview you will most likely be part of OBC/IVR team and that's the worst team in the whole company. If you are new grad - This experience won't get you a better job Experienced - Run away as the politics and stress are not worth. Pay is low and there is no yearly review process and even if there is the pay increase you get is a joke. If you are a new grad they will offer lower pay....

      Pros

People are helpful and nice, pays well, laid back atmosphere

      Cons

Communication between everyone is lacking, IT is really bad, morale is a little down

      Advice to Management

Make sure you include the people doing the work in the meetings about the project. Wipe out the local IT and start over.
