I have been working at Omnicell full-time for less than a year

    Pros

sorry, can't think of any, I'm just treading dirty water until something better comes up or they go under.

    Cons

They're secretive, many times we've been warned about notifying customers of faults that could cause major problems for customers if found out, minor hardware to major software issues and its the employees who get the blame. They're deceptive, they tell you one thing and don't follow through on their commitments unless legal action is threatened. Since their inception they have gotten worse with employee's over investors....

I have been working at Omnicell full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great co-workers who want to get the job done. Good team atmosphere. Unlimited vacation plus sick time for higher level positions. Great stock purchase plan. Flexible work arrangements.

    Cons

401k not up to par. Disconnect between upper management, marketing, and engineers. Understaffed. Easy to be overlooked if you aren’t on the latest and greatest project.

    Advice to Management

Consider less middle management and more of a team lead approach. Continue improving the 401k to be more competitive with the marketplace.

I have been working at Omnicell full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Rapidly growing customer base. Majority of employees are very qualified, smart, and go beyond the call for their customers.

    Cons

Difficult for upper Management to keep up with the pace with growth, thus making it difficult for other employees. Hard to find time to take off, due to backup issues and they always ask for more. Sometimes very overwhelming when you add in hours of travel to customer accounts.

    Advice to Management

Respect the people who are in front of the customer representing the company many times a day. When the front line asks for something, they need it and need it now. I recommend quick response, and follow-up for the sake of the company and customer. Upper management seem like cheerleaders instead of managers and only care about making the sale.

    I worked at Omnicell

    Pros

Great customer base. Omnicell used to have a great staff and good middle management, unfortuntely most if not all those people have moved on either by their own choice and were forced out.

    Cons

Extremely poor operations management. Dyfuntional management from company headquarters, company seems to lack any long term vision about it's staff. VP operations lived by this phrase regarding the operations staff. "Hire fast, fire faster." Not a good way to attract people of quality and it shows. I doubt upper management know or cares about how company is run, all they seemed...

    Advice to Management

It's time to make some whole changes in upper management in the operations division. Spend some time doing some research into field operations and make wholesale changes where needed. That dividion is THE face of your company and right now it's the face of discontent. No one I worked with was happy with the way things were going.

    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at Omnicell

    Pros

Middle management was extremely supportive but not given the latitude to make decisions.

    Cons

Upper management stiffled creativity and had a sell at all cost mentality.

    Advice to Management

Hire the right people and empower them to make decisions. The reason why the Soviet Union fell apart was due to centralized leadership.
