I have been working at Omnicom Media Group full-time

    Pros

I have worked here 10 years and the training has been constant. There are live webinars as well as “a la carte" from basic excel to programmatic tutorials. Last but no least there are also in person training such as presentation and management skills

    Cons

There are times that the work of load does not allow to take any training at all, unless you work on it after hours

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Omnicom Media Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-since no one has a clue what data science really is analyst has the opportunity to onboard new tech to make their job easier without much resistance
-unused rooms are great for cat naps

    Cons

-since no one has a clue what data science really is be prepared to answer a lot of primitive questions. Not questions related to the work, but related to the skill set of the team. Be aware the team will feel intimated.
    -piss poor IT department
-incompetent account directors, who also double as sabotagers when they aren’t privy to what you’re doing regarding completion of work
-pay is below skill level if you’re doing data science
-no one is being honest with client and will encourage and or force you to lie to them constantly
-no software available to be “data first” though you will here a bunch of these directors and senior yahoos repeat it constantly

    Advice to Management

Hire competent directors that put the client first before their own self objectives. In addition, if you’re claiming to be “data first,” then actually have some softwares and tools to accomplish that. Excel will not cut it.

    Pros

    Money was okay. Quality colleagues.

    Cons

Hours were never-ending. Planning anything socially before 8p was a pipedream. Literally had to set your OOTO setting if you left before 6p.

    Advice to Management

Loosen the reins - and the purse strings.
