    Cons

Depends on branch you are in , if they would of lefted me in the branch I started I wouldn't of resigned. They transferred me to another branch !!! Letting me know a day before . In order to get things done beach Manger has to be organized and nice !!

    Advice to Management

Please I can't stress this enough if a lot of employees are quitting in a certain branch , GET RID OF THE BLACK BEE OR YOUR BUSINESS IS GOING DOWNHILL!! I mean manger of that branch !!

I have been working at OneMain full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, very fair wages and very good incentive program. There are usually good opportunities for advancement within the company.

    Cons

Does not allow for acceptable work/life balance.
Lots of turnover. Very aggressive sales and delinquency goals.

    Advice to Management

Asking managers to be in early every day, work multiple late nights every week and several Saturdays a month does not allow for good work/life balance.

I worked at OneMain full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Small office environment, customer relations, many growth opportunities

    Cons

Unless another branch is opening or a person quits, you will have to wait a while to become branch manager.

    Advice to Management

None. I enjoyed my job for 6 years. From American General Finance to Springleaf financial and now One Main, it was a great place to work with many advantages.

I worked at OneMain full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great environment to work at, great benefits, lade back position. Great people to work for if you have the right people to work for. Take hour lunch when ever you want.

    Cons

VIP Goal can be hard to hit, they expect you to know the system, obligated to do about 100 calls a day for collections and to solicit. If you do not befriend branch manager you will not do good.

    Advice to Management

training needs to be more hands on rather then watch boring videos. branch manager needs to calm down always stressed out.

I worked at OneMain full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Used to be a good place to work before Springleaf takeover

    Cons

Setting up current, long time former OneMain managers to oust them prior to downsizing so no severance. Horrible upper mgmt. If you're not former Springleaf you don't stand a chance. Discrimination for sure. Unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue people. You're loosing some awesome talent because we weren't original Springleaf employees.

    Pros

Work directly with customers at a local level. It's a good feeling to provide a true personal customer service experience.

    Cons

Hours can get lengthy at times. Most weeks are a typical 40 hour work week. But at times can turn into a 50-60 hour work week as needed.

I have been working at OneMain full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay and vacation time - that is pretty much it.

    Cons

As several others have said after the OneMain Springleaf merger it has gone down hill. Took away bonuses by keeping targets the same as when they were a small company. More locations = less business for each, not that hard to understand. Horrible health insurance. Long hours. Horrible system, they are slowly working to improve.

    Advice to Management

Change goals to realistic numbers, don't make people work extra hours on Saturdays with no increase in results. In general, treat your employees like people not numbers. Don't threaten to fire everyone every time someone misses one goal and you may actually stop losing your best employees.
