I worked at Oneview Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Smart co-workers - Prime downtown Chicago office location. - Plenty of learning experiences and opportunities to hone conflict-resolution skills.

    Cons

    - Semi-fragmented culture. - Seemingly little potential for upward advancement. - Business styles from one market to the next can differ greatly, resulting in simple interactions becoming extremely complicated.

I worked at Oneview Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great downtown location and co-workers. Full fridge with snacks and food. Weekly catered lunch and fun environment.

    Cons

Management has little to no clue what the North American healthcare market needs. Instead of listening, they want to forge their relationship with another company out of loyalty and force their product values on the healthcare industry instead of reacting to what the customer wants. Because of this style of senior leadership, the stock is down 74% and the growth in the healthcare technology sector is UP 7.5%. Ship is sinking. Throw a life vest to someone in senior leadership, they might just need it.

I have been working at Oneview Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay is great. Festivals and celebrations worldwide. Supportive customers.

    Cons

Global Management think they “see a better way”, as the slogan of the company, however there is no real strategy and turnover is high. Product is nice but no one in the USA knows how to deploy it, so they fly people from Australia and Ireland to install and troubleshoot issues. Without sales – there is no future for this company. Company’s culture and values don’t fit together. Standards are not up to par.

I have been working at Oneview Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great product, it makes a difference for me and my job satisfaction working on a product that helps patients and clinicians, expecially right now with COVID-19 and we get to hear directly from customers that impact that the product has, the company have setup a few sessions to ensure we hear that feedback The people I work with here are amongst the smartest, most talented professionals I have worked with in my career to date, well skilled and good people to learn from, been impressed with the recruitment and the people who have come into the company since I've joined I feel empowered in my role, I can suggest and implement change and get to work on implemting those changes in cross functional teams with people in locations in Europe, the US and Australia I like Blackrock as a location, the office is far nicer than others I have worked in with a stocked Kitchen and we've been well supported to work remotely also We're treated like adults and given the freedom to get on with our work without being micro managed

    Cons

We've experienced some change since I've joined which some may not enjoy, the pace here is pretty fast and we adapt to the global heathcare industry which is going through huge change right now in how it delivers care to patients so that pace may not suit everybody

I have been working at Oneview Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

On organization and culture: * To me the key benefits would be, there is no room for bureaucracy, a flat working structure and ease of accessibility to all levels management. Personally, this is important as decisions/decisions makers can be accessed quickly. * Another benefit of being startup like is autonomy. Teams, individuals are given a high level of autonomy. * Team sizes are small and communication across teams is good (of-course, there is room for improvement but it is quite good) * People in general are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. * On a more social level, there is good banter/craic. On Career Growth: * The company is small (mid size maybe?), teams are small and there are opportunities for growth. Most promotions or new positions, usually go to internal people vs a new-hire. * Being a flat structure, the work of your team is visible and appreciated - no matter the role. On Personal career growth: You are exposed to a lot of technology and there are opportunities to work or try out the latest tech. Work is genuinely challenging and rewarding - which can sometimes lead working too hard (but in a good way).

    Cons

Like any other startup, it has gone through good times and difficult times but it has persevered. A few scars would obviously remain, but people & teams are healing; I feel today we are on the up and hope that it continues. Being a startup style culture, you can be overwhelmed, overworked or just stressed out - when this does happen, managers are helpful and understanding (I guess its important to have these chats earlier rather than when you've burned out). The product is sold into hospitals which mostly have a slower release cycle that us, this can lead to a slightly painful developer experience. It is startup-cultured, so there isn't going to be all the bells and whistles that Facebook/Google have but they do have a reasonable set of perks. It is an evolving company, in a non-sugar coated way; the direction of business can change and stability isn't the greatest but I will defend this by saying, I feel now there is a fairly good vision and direction. In summary: If you are someone who is eager to work on new tech, grow yourself and be active in your own growth you would thrive. In saying that you don't have to be the most driven person, you will be just fine taking a passive role. If you think you would need strong or well defined structure, order, process you could struggle or get a bit stressed out.
