I have been working at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good pay, good benefits, nice co-workers

    Cons

Culture and morale on a steep decline in the past year, started with budget cuts, less transparency, stricter rules etc. The new exec will destroy the culture for a bonus, it is very clear that he has very little care for the company, as this will be just another line on the resume for him. It used to be a place with good culture compared to the big banks, but now they have stooped even below that standard.

Be prepared to immerse yourself in the mind-numbing repetitive grind of corporate life, but you probably expected that already. Very little innovation happening, if anything this is where innovation comes to die. All of your creativity and talents will be under used, what was once was passion becomes a sudden ache in your stomach during one of 5 meetings you have that afternoon from eating a strict diet of Thai Express (1 of 3 options). The lack of good direction from management and the absolute obsession with the status quo will be the down fall.

Meetings, meetings, meetings, meetings, meetings, sometimes you will be fascinated at the people's ability to spend an hour and talk about absolutely nothing at all, I only reserve right for Morgan Freeman.
