    Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to say about Openwave Mobility. Apparently, I have to type a minimum of 20 words in this section, but there's nothing good to say about this company.

    Cons

Leadership, especially the CEO, needs a lot of improvement

    Advice to Management

    Lack of integrity is unbelievable

    Cons

    Advice to Management

inorganic acquisition and branching into a new territory will be exciting for the company, employees and our customers

I worked at Openwave Mobility full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many former employees Openwave have gone on to create or be part of successful companies, such as Waze, Admob, Zimbra, Google, Android, and so on. The experience of working at Openwave provides a lot of knowledge about the pluses and minuses of the mobile world across the full stack, and especially how hard it is to work with mobile operators.

    Cons

In the later years post 2008, the company was too sales driven, lost the best technical talent, and lost the ability to innovate and create value that isn't quickly commoditized by the desire of mobile operators for all suppliers to comply with open standards.

    Advice to Management

The company many times spoke of the benefit of "incumbency"--being installed in many dozens of the largest mobile operators, but has not taken advantage of that to create new product businesses with long term high profit growth. Perhaps it can still do that.

I have been working at Openwave Mobility full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people at the working level, very nice office environment. Great shared corporate gym which is included with almost every possible amenity. Very close proximity to the above average cafeteria (also above average in price).

    Cons

Benefits continue to spiral down, which is to be expected with private equity. Overall morale also seems to be dwindling, as attempts to provide a 'sunny' view of the business seen by many as disingenuous.

    Advice to Management

We all understand that you are in a difficult position due to the fact that the owner of the company takes an office in the building, but as they say, honesty is the best policy and most of my coworkers are questioning what is really going on.
