      Completely Broken

      Pros

They should at least keep work at home.

      Cons

Ohio’s hiring system needs serious and immediate attention. Job seekers should not be left with no response for applications beyond an initial email. Who’s in charge? Obviously there’s no accountability. The hiring for dca1 needs completely overhauled as much as allowed. The dca1 supervisor woman should not be involved as she is unprofessional, petty, and vindictive. Their grading system is convoluted and shrouded in secrecy which hides prejudices that the public needs to be aware of. This place is full of fearful people who hate their jobs taking their anger out on their employees. The difference is, this is a state agency tasked with helping people in need, so the bar is higher. But like their wordy nonsensical mission statements, it’s all fluff to hide a rotten system.

      Great benefits, toxic culture

      Pros

Healthcare benefits are fantastic and reasonably affordable. Salary for this position is decent, especially if you stay for more than five years.

      Cons

Management. Many are condescending when they issue new policies. Others automatically assume you’re going to shirk responsibility and will scrutinize everything until they find reason to punish you. Very little growth opportunities unless you drink the KoolAid.
