    Pros

Friendship with employees who are going through the same struggles with Oracle.

    Cons

They ruined the company we were before Oracle purchased us. They came in with so many promises and none of them came true. Employee turnover is extremely high, about 50% of the work force of our original company has left. This is due to promises of wage increases that never ever occur even after years. They refuse to hire employees to back-fill the position of those who left. They promised us our friday lunches would continue and they did for about a month and then it was cut off. The team morale is extremely low and everyone is looking for new jobs. Forced use of vacation days.

    Advice to Management

Stop looking at numbers and ruining the company. Your cost cutting measures such as FORCED use of vacation days for winter break are horrible. Hurd left HP a mess and caused employee satisfaction to plummet and he is doing the same with Oracle.

    Pros

As a technology company, Oracle is good company. They have strong technical leadership in Kurian and Fowler and they invest heavily in R&D to develop world-class products around their vision (currently Cloud).

    Cons

The leading issue with working at Oracle is a number of your customers will hate you. Ironically, these are the same customers that make $M's (or $B's) using our solutions.

    Other points:
    - Hadn't seen any raises in 6 years, had overtime cut, and dropped car allowance
    - For a given customer need, we (in many cases) had competing solutions and the Oracle Sales Teams spent more time fighting each other than engaging with the customer.
    - A tendency for employees to myopically focus on their compensation only and to disregard interactions with other groups. This manifested itself in un-returned phone/email messages and unmet commitments.

    Advice to Management

I would figure out a way to get the different sales groups to work together so more time was focused on delivering the best solution to the customer and not which group was going to get compensated for the deal.

    Pros

The Oracle Cloud Field Service group is part of the Oracle Service Cloud business unit. Oracle as a whole is a solid company with many best of breed solutions to offer within the Multi - Pillar business applications and operational infrastructure that enterprise wide level companies need to run their business

    Cons

The Oracle Cloud Field Service organization is led by poor management who have consistently missed their quarterly number. The upper management in place actually have little domain expertise in field service. Go figure. In most cases they have used favoritism with assigning roles and titles that are outright unethical as an end result. Specifically on the sales where just because someone is a female....is the primary reason that person is in their position as one example.

    Advice to Management

Relinquish your positions for better qualified personnel who can do a much better job

    Pros

It is a good place to work if you land into a good team. Also you learn a lot if you are in a client facing role.

    Cons

HR and compensation policies are obscured. There is no visibility on the metrics used for appraisal. Salary is below par than rest of the industry

    Advice to Management

Start paying well to retain talent. Also some managers do not care about subordinate's work-life balance even though they keep re-iterating every year during town halls that they want to improve on that.

    Pros

As an Organization, Oracle is a great place to work. Owing to the large scale at which it operates, there are tremendous opportunities to choose an area to specialize. Processes are streamlined and the Company assigns utmost importance to being compliant and efficient in the conduct of it's business

    Cons

Being one of the largest IT companies, moving across verticals and even networking across functionalities may seem difficult, with the sheer scale of operation being so extensive

    Advice to Management

More 360 degree feedback would help gain visibility into the grass root level
