I have been working at Oracle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will work with bright and hard working people most of the time. Oracle has a rich history and a lot of talented management that have been around for many years. Also, Oracle is huge and there are a lot of opportunities in different areas.
Overall, I believe there is an excellent work life balance. This is truly one of the best reasons to work at Oracle. Most of all management understand this and are supportive and encouraging in taking care of business at home and work.

    Cons

Oracle is in the midst of a rough transition to the Cloud. They are late to the game but are investing significantly. In certain areas they are still losing marketshare or are very stagnant. There is significant turnover in certain areas of the business.

Promotions are hard to come by. Management can be thick and superfluous at times.

Pay is lackluster in comparison to most of the industry.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to support your A players.
Figure out a better way to engage across pillars and lines of business.

I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, great technology, a lot of money in the bank.

    Cons

Inconsistent with focal reviews and bonuses. Very few people below Manager level seem to be awarded any stock options. Make sure you get hired at a salary you can live with for at least three years.

    Advice to Management

Opportunities in fair and consistent focal reviews. Raises should be based on the previous year targets and company goals, not Q1 of the fiscal new year. Employees are deserving of stock options, even those who are IC and below manager level.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great people, good company culture depending on management. For people in their mid 20's it is great money for those who are in a solid territory.

    Cons

upper management could be a little more experienced. At times the company is too big for its own good.

    Advice to Management

hire from outside of the company instead of trying to make zuckerburgs out of college students.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Oracle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work remotely and somewhat of a work/life balance

    Cons

No recognition in any way of good work or accomplishments, no raises in 4 years, no career growth. I was offered one salary by a director initially, then it was cut back by $10K by the 'VP' saying I needed to 'grow into the job.' which I already had years of experience in. Pathetic way of saying, 'we're cheap' but we may employ you for a little while.

    Advice to Management

You fail miserably at motivating your employees with any type of reason to stay at Oracle. Today I was told I'm laid off, with no warning, no 'improve your performance', no marks on my good work record to even justify it. Keep hiring Mexican employees at 1/4 of the salary U.S. based employees make as you have been doing and you will not have the dedicated workforce you once had. I'm sure my higher salary and age had everything to do with being let go. Shameful place to work. Wish I never joined there now. My career was set back 4 years.
