I worked at Orange 21 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

good product great industry, great customers, fun business

    Cons

company went public with bad prior ceo and lost a ton of money vulture capitalists own the firm nowand are clueless, and have to grow 60% to really be a viable public company. retail space to achieve that growth is difficult.

    Advice to Management

sell the company and get out. the business is a monopoly and Spy Optic dba/ Orange 21 is too small to be a public company

    Pros

Overall the company is a good place to work.

    Cons

Upper management has a problem with finger pointing instead of trying work thru a problem they often ask who caused the problem so they have someone to blame. Then they never get around to fixing the problem. But they feel better because they had a person to blame instead of themselves.

    Advice to Management

Take a step back and stop finger pointing and try to figure how the best way to resolve a problem rather than the best way to blame someone for a problem.
