I have been working at Orange Lake Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good medical benefits and travel benefits. Nice new office location. Good income if you are corrupt.

    Cons

Corrupt supervisors. Only a select group of agents get quality inbound calls. Management can change how many calls you get, where the calls come from and the frequency of the incoming calls. The agents who produce the most pay the supervisors under the table for these preferred campaigns and skill sets. Many supervisors (all but one are male) have affairs with top producing female reps and several are married men. The rules apply to some, not all and favoritism is a huge negative factor. Drugs and alcohol used extensively by leadership. Very poor training. Supervisors only help a few agents (the ones who are paying them under the table). Very unprofessional language and bullying from a few supervisors in inbound. The more you pay the supervisor, the greater chance of success monetarily. Top producers never use the word "timeshare" though that is what we are trying to sell. When upper management approached about this, they avoid the topic and ignore. Different rules for different agents. Discrimination is at a high. HR doesn't have a clue and inept. The reason there are so many ads placed is because we can't keep agents. Upper management has no idea what happens in the call center. There is so much dishonesty and corruption. This company has a bad reputation in the timeshare industry. An internal investigation needs to take place and leadership terminated and replaced with honest and ethical employees. Orange Lake pays too high a salary to management compared to the industry in Orlando. Greed creates more greed. Not a good place to work but I am forced to stay. Good people leave and the dishonest remain, Upper management needs to clean house.

    Advice to Management

Upper Management needs to do mandatory drug screening on all supervisors and managers. Reduce their salaries. They make too much for the little they do. Look at the different calls the top selling agents get. It's not fair. If we got the same calls as them and the same priorities, we would make the big bucks too, but only a few get them and they do not follow the script and dialogue we are required to follow from a legal standpoint. Look at their cancellations. Bad behavior is rewarded and good behavior overlooked. The top selling reps are corrupt. Listen to their calls (not just the quality assurance aspects).

I worked at Orange Lake Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Money if you really need it, and the Benefits were ok. Other than that, there really isn't much to praise.

    Cons

Terrible communication between all departments as well as in between the resort and corporate. Compensation is well below industry standards. Problems were mostly avoided as opposed to solved (still have issues with Housekeeping even after switching to a contractor). General Management deliberately avoided Members and Guests that wanted to speak to them. Corporate only "appreciates" you once a year, unless you're apart of Sales, in which case you get a few appreciation dinners.

    Advice to Management

Stop chit chatting for the majority of the day, let your departments know what is happening on property/coming to the property (put names on deliveries). Oh, and don't have sex with your employees.

    Pros

Positive, cheerful staff. Great spiffs and bonuses. Enjoyed the environment. 25 hours week creates much more productivity. Appreciate Sundays as a regular day off since the Call Center is closed on Sunday's.

    Cons

Call ratios - can lose all your weekly commissions from one bad day. Need a better 401k plan since the company only matches up to $300 --

    Advice to Management

Ghost calls should not count in call ratios.
