I worked at Orange Lake Resorts full-time

    Pros

    Very, very generous comp plan

    Cons

Agent and management turnover is incredibly high (to be expected in a call center though)

    Advice to Management

    N/A

I worked at Orange Lake Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Fun work environment, steady income

    Cons

A lot of favoritism towards select employees, management unprofessional towards each other, monthly bonuses and commission not reliable and very low compared to other collection position. VERY high turnover rate. Company hires with temp agencies at a high rate $15 hr, and then hire permanently with company at $12/$13 hour but says its worth it due to bonuses. However bonuses are extremely low for this type of collection position. A lot of overtime available, but it becomes too much to work so much overtime for the amount of money actually being received for it. Too tiring.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so unprofessional with each other. You all have "bad blood" with each other and the employees see it. And sadly, you take it out on the employees who work so hard for you. A lot of great employees have left because of this. Don't take your frustrations out on them! Oh, and pay them better on their monthly bonuses like other companies do for collection positions.

I worked at Orange Lake Resorts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The 401k is excellent. If you get a job in Brand Marketing for example; you will do great. Departments like these are professional and the employees work together.

    Cons

I have worked at both Orange Lake Resort and Cape Canaveral Beach Resort. One is okay and the former is good if you just need a paycheck to survive.

    Advice to Management

Written above the door at Town Center is a slogan that says, "Hire the Best People Then Turn Them Loose! Mr. Harrel, Mrs. Wilcox, and Mr. Nelson need to be shown this. When Managers who get "Exceeds" on their reviews are later kicked to the curb after being ignored, the money you spend on new employee engagement surveys is wasted money.

    Good luck!!

I worked at Orange Lake Resorts full-time

    Pros

The place really tries. They have some great people in management that really care about people.

    Cons

It is huge and there often isn't enough management to properly communicate to the staff. They also have some not great people in management with their own agenda.

    Advice to Management

Listen really listen to the staff, if they need help get them help. Hire staff.

I have been working at Orange Lake Resorts full-time

    Pros

There is a lot of technologies you will become familiar with and a lot of great individuals to work with in this place... A lot of support, snacks, events, and a good sense of community here...

    Cons

There is a lack of structuralism in this department and it's due to the rapid growth and company acquisitions but in time these will iron themselves out...

    Advice to Management

Provide the necessary tools for your team to succeed...

    Pros

You will meet some very nice people that may become life long friends. You will be able to move up very fast if you like to play "the game."

    Cons

Definitely will show you how life is NOT fair. The wrong people get promoted when the people that actually know their job does not. If you can look at yourself in the mirror and play the game and schmooze your way to the top then this is the place for you.

I have been working at Orange Lake Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is literally limitless earning potential here. The managers pay is tied to how well you perform so it is in their best interest to help you and coach you to become more successful. Attitude and effort really control how high you go. I love what I get to do for a living and I love the people I get to work with on a daily basis.

    Cons

It takes some time to build your pipeline so be prepared to live lean for the first few months of employment.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

Be willing to see the potential in some of the "late-blooming" reps.
