I have been working at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours and Half off on yougurt, great co workers

    Cons

No Benefits No free yogurt , not much room to move up management, always needing people to work at the store. Needing to run entire store by yourself about 60% of the time

    Advice to Management

Probably pay employees 8.00 instead of 7.25 , the pay isnt worth all the work the employees put in.

I worked at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Note: Franchise so every location differs.

-Free yogurt for every shift you work
    -Flexible dress code

    Cons

LOW PAY! Start at $7.50/hour regardless of experience. Extremely small pay raises every 6 months. I negotiated pay twice and took on additional responsibilities for a pay increase but didn't even make $10/hour as a manager.
My location was staffed by mainly high schoolers who didn't actually care about the job and just wanted some side money, so I had to do a lot more work than I should have. There were quite a few of the teenagers who looooved to gossip and talked behind your back and/or drank and did drugs. The owner was way too lax and should have fired over half the staff for being so incompetent, lazy, and unprofessional.
The scheduling was also horrible. The manager during the daytime would almost always be by themselves (unless it's during the summer), so they do not even get the opportunity to take breaks and it can easily get overwhelming.
The owner was also always reluctant to really invest in the store's upkeeping. No one wants to walk into a store that smells rancid or has flies and roaches. They were also reluctant to invest their time at the store. I don't think they'd be capable of working a shift by themselves.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the store, not just the numbers.
Familiarize yourself with the store and staff. Communicate better!
Schedule more than just one person at all times. It is ILLEGAL to have someone work a 6 hour shift with no breaks!!

I have been working at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt part-time

    Pros

*At the Orange Leaf I worked at I got a free frozen yogurt (up to $7) after every shift.
*Since it's a franchise, I got to really know the owner of the store on a personal level
*Compared to other fast food restaurants, very easy and laid back. Especially if you're just a cashier

    Cons

*At my store, you started out at $7.50 an hour
*I felt underpaid for the amount of work I was doing. I was opening and closing the stores regularly, and got paid $9.00 an hour
*There's only 2 assistant managers and 1 general manager at a time, which means lack of flexibility when you're a student
*Work followed me around. If I missed a spot when cleaning, I was sure to get a text or a call about it when I was at school.

    Advice to Management

Leave work at work and let your employees go home.

    Pros

Free yogurt, coworkers were all lovely.

    Cons

Management was never around... I have bad feet and the shifts, with no breaks, were absolute murder.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, allow short breaks, always have two people working so the person is never alone in the store.
