I worked at Orange full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits such as PTO and flexibility.

    Cons

Some other benefits being cut like amount of 401k match and employee health cost portions on the rise. To get training is like pulling teeth. To get lab equipment is worse for hands on experience. No money for the future.

    Advice to Management

Keep your people trained to support Customer product updates. Invest for the future of your business here in the USA.

I worked at Orange full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The benefits are good. A lot of PTO time and good medical, 401K etc..

    Cons

No stability, a lot of lay offs because company outsourcing and reorganizing. No job security. No opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with more respect and get trained better.

    I worked at Orange full-time

    Pros

Benefit packages are better than most. Flex time and remote working - both are a big plus!

    Cons

NAM employees have little room for growth. Management states that they are updating and changing but no matter how many times they shuffle, it's the same old, same old. Orange renames and recycles everything. Also, pay scale differs from desk to desk for the same assignment, there is no standard.

    Advice to Management

New blood needed. With each redundancy Orange has lost major knowledge when employees are cut. Managers never move. They are never cut, they never change. Company is too top heavy. Review pay scales and bring everyone into a common window.

I have been working at Orange full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good, highly-skilled people to work with. A large culturally-diverse company that offers numerous opportunities to improve your skills and grow your career. Successful employees can move within the company, and gain international experience.

    Cons

Orange is an international business, but is very Euro-centric when it comes to management and product development. Global decisions with local impact in the regions are often made with limited understanding of need of, and impact on, local markets. Who you know can be more important than what you do, or have done.

    Advice to Management

Engage more effectively with, and listen to, mid-management in the international community. Be prepared to take some risk, and invest outside of Europe. Rather than just "talking global", Orange needs to go back to "acting global".

I worked at Orange as a contractor

    Pros

Large product set of telecommunication services that span across the globe and provides solid footprint in Europe, Asia and Africa

Some services require the involvement of third party providers, which made the task of servicing clients more difficult, particularly in designing network

I worked at Orange full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you've been with the company for many years, your job is safe regardless of performance

    Cons

It's almost impossible to advance unless you come from the outside

    Advice to Management

Keep it real and continue the good work
