Pros
Employee discount, lots of growth opportunities, decent pay.
Cons
Odd rotating retail hours. Close, then open, rinse and repeat. Not near enough employees for the work to be done. Sometimes catty work environment. Large management teams with few associates.

Pros
Great benefits, employee discounts. Advancement possibilities. cross-train in different departments. cashiers can possibly become a supervisor within a reasonable time frame.
Cons
Not having a cleaning crew to clean the facilities. Some benefits require qualifications. No employee recognition within the store. Schedule is posted two days ahead of time.

Pros
20% employee discount, useful items that you would potentially need on a day-to-day basis and for repair work. The Product Knowledge Rallies are fun and entertaining, when they have them. Occasional employee BBQs for lunch.
Cons
OSH has faced two class action lawsuits because they denied employees full breaks and lunch hours, often expecting their salaried workers to cut their lunch hour short or not take one at all, and yet the company has not changed its policy and hourly employees are constantly called back early from their 15 minute breaks to help on the floor. They've only recently tightened their monitoring of lunch breaks since a state law was passed requiring companies to pay the employee an hour of overtime if they go even a minute past working 5 straight hours. The company overloads and over-works its employees and has unrealistic goals and expectations. An employee is often expected to do his job and everyone else's, especially if you are a sales associate on the floor. I was frequently made to cover several departments at once, be a backup cashier and fill in for the front desk on their breaks. In addition to all of this, I was still expected to finish the work given to me in my own department. As far as pay goes, I was given an inordinate amount of responsibilities that were outside of my job desscription (in fact, many of them were in a Department Manager's job description) and after working for them for three years, starting at the minimum starting pay, I only got one 3% raise. There is is a significant disconnect between salaried employees (managers, corporate office, etc) and hourly employees (sales associates, cashiers, etc). Management generally does not communicate with their hourly workers effectively and when they do it's often in a negative way. The managers in general have a discipline first, talk later approach to dealing with their employees. Because of this management style, morale in the company has been low, especially in the past two years. For the amount of work OSH piles on you for such little pay, it would be worth it to find another retail company who has more realistic expectations of their employees and offers their employees a competitive pay rate. Also, most stores are very dusty and dirty. Not a good place to work if you have respiratory issues like asthma.

hours are surprisingly flexible store doesn't close too late some of the customers/coworkers are nice and one can learn a lot from them
Cons
no training whatsoever; you're LUCKY to get any otherwise you'd better have good ESP, be psychic or learn what you can on your own time... not quite what one wants to do for minimum wage odd assessment of employee abilities constant phone calls especially if working pick-up area either nothing to do trying to look busy so I don't get yelled at for 'doing nothing' or an impossible workload; no happy medium there some managers are super nice others are snarky, pushy and condescending finding stuff in the warehouse/pickup area is a pain cleaning the bathrooms/breakroom understaffed as can be of course; sometimes there's only 2 people on the floor in the whole entire store closing duties are a real pain employee discount rather redundant since everything here is ridiculously expensive anyways
