    Very disjointed departments, procedure heavy often at the expense of the educational mission.

    Pros

    a program that provides opportunities for both education and advancement; salaries are comparable or above others in the same arena. Lots of hiring for summer seasonal positions, so great for college students and school employees. Yearly rehire offered to good employees.

    Cons

    a great deal of the work is seasonal; new employees frequently start in seasonal jobs, with the possibility of moving to year round work dependent on employee attrition.

    Pay is on the lower end compared to other similar jobs, but not bad, and if its something you enjoy, its something people can live with.

    Pros

    People get along well, there is a sense of team. Employees are always helping each other out. Benefits for self is good. Good retirement benefits.

    Cons

    Health benefits for family are expensive, no pay increase, and can be overworked depending on your role.

    Advice to Management

    New management needs to adapt to organizations culture, it can hurt employee morale when new management comes in trying to change ideas, and culture. Be realistic in assignments given to employees, such as reasonable time frames, work load.
