I have been working at Oregon City Schools part-time

    Pros

    The kids are great
    parents are great

    Cons

Need new toys and games for the kids
Can only use the PO at Fred Meyers in OC

    Advice to Management

Maybe provide supervisors with their monthly CASH and need all receipts with totals adding up to the max.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Great student population, very diverse. Instructors care for each student individually.

    Cons

Supervisor had no management or people skills.
Administration not even aware of existence.
Not interested in meeting the educational needs of the community, just wanted to maintain status quo, without working to sustain it.

    Advice to Management

Choose appropriate leadership with people skills.

  4. "Oregon City Schools has good people at all levels that need to work better with one another."

    Pros

Pay and area to live is comfortable.

    Cons

Financial instability within the district. Higher cost of living.

    Advice to Management

More forethought into district directions from outside sources. More transparancy with regards to senior management's descision making and oppsticals that the district faces. Holding problems under wraps until it's too late is one of the districts largest problems.

    Pros

Live in community and want to help make the schools the best for our children & community.

    Cons

Good old boys system very entrenched.

    Advice to Management

Make decisions with input from the teachers and personnel working in the area. They have great insight and ideas for what will work from the standpoint of everyday operation.
