I have been working at Oregon Medical Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Teamwork, family environment, good health and dental benefits, promotion opportunities, many different work site locations, fun Holiday party, good office hours

    Cons

Pay scale is not good, merit increases are too low, too many changes without listening to front line staff, retirement plan could be better

    Advice to Management

Listen to the ideas of your front line

I have been working at Oregon Medical Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Patient quality of care is number one. The physicians here really care about their patients (not just $$). Good leadership that strives for a balance between work-life & home-life. They allow ample flexibility with their non-patient facing positions. Generous paid time-off.

    Cons

    Older facilities (maybe too many?).

    Advice to Management

Maybe concentrate more on what they do best and less on trying to do too much?

    Pros

Good benefits, friendly coworkers, great IT support.

    Cons

Insufficient training, poor communication, low pay.

Garner more input from lower level employees, offer more flexibility with work-at-home or share workspace options.

    Pros

Great people, great manager. I have the greatest pleasure to be able to help patients with billing questions.

    Cons

Patients call Oregon Medical Group instead of insurance to find out why claim was denied.

    Advice to Management

    NA

I worked at Oregon Medical Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company executives are great to work with, willing to listen to creative ideas to add services and grow product lines. Compensation at 90% plus compared to peers in the community. Providers are allowed to create independent workable schedules within reason.

    Cons

Had some years in the past when office and administrative managers were promoted from within that were not qualified to do effective job. Took years for those managers to be replaced. But outlook was better by the time I left in 2015.

    Advice to Management

Promote people from within with objective criteria, not because they may be friends.

They have a good benefit package.

The management is horrible. They don't care about your opinions.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your staff and less about making money.

I have been working at Oregon Medical Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Family oriented and great people to work with.

    Cons

They like to hire family and friends. The pay is not great.

    Advice to Management

Need to trim down the amount of managers/Directors and pay people what they are worth.. Just don't give out titles to justify the increase in pay the person threw a fit for or threatens to leave..

I have been working at Oregon Medical Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Teamwork is amazing. Staff pull together to make things happen with conflicting direction. Some physicians are great. Access to education benefits is great.

    Cons

Too much work for too little people. Some physicians are rude and don't value staff. Same with some management. Seems like leadership is chasing the dollar to the detriment of the company's core values.

    Advice to Management

Don't sacrifice your core values to put money in physician pockets. It makes you look bad.
