Wonderful place to work for
Mar 10, 2019 - Programmer Analyst I in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Orlando Health as an organization has a great culture that is present regardless of which career field you are in. The work I have been doing is extremely rewarding and leadership is always good at communication.
Cons
One con is that the organization is slower to adopt new IT practices and software than other organizations.

Pros
Orlando Health offers great employee benefits. The one thing that stands out the most was there nursing training and development program. The company has a variety of training techniques and state of the art training equipment.
Cons
I didn't find many cons when working at ORMC. There was great support for staff, new advancements in technology and a program for nurses to be involved in change.

Do more work for less than a $1 than your subordinates!
Oct 23, 2022 - Patient Transportation Lead in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pros are you will have multiple extra responsibilities that aren’t listed in your job description that you MUST do because your bosses in PCC demand and even suggest things to do to save time and effort it even if it isn’t safe for patients.
Cons
Standard transporter makes $15 an hour minimum wage for Orlando health and to be in leadership and responsible for the department you make $15.68 base. Don’t bother applying.

Pros
The people you work alongside of are great. The frontline truly care about what they do. Team members go above and beyond.
Cons
Leadership is inadequate. Many of the leaders do not have experiences outside of being at the organization for 20+ years, so they do anything to protect their roles. Many are leading areas and teams that have way more talented people making them look good. New team members do not last, as once they see the toxic environment, they leave. HR is known to be a bully. They do not support team members. They sit in meetings all day, and tell everyone else how to be experts at their jobs, but they don’t do theirs. Being a representative in HR, does not make you an expert in everything. They protect managers. Only RN’s are treated with respect. If you are not a RN, good luck with trying to support your family in 2021, working at Orlando Health. You work hard, just to get a $0.50 raise. Meanwhile leaders are all in six figures, plus they get big bonus checks if their departments met their goals. But the frontline gets scraps. Leaders are able to say and do anything to team members. Team members get a PEP talk or Counseling, if they clock in 1 minute late on the flawed clock in system. Yet, if you stay beyond your shift or go beyond, no one says anything. It’s like a gang. Either you do what they say; or you are out of there. The Orlando Health way culture is a gang and toxic. We are short staffed. So many people leave. Those of us at 5 years or below, can see there is no future for us here, because of the life long people who have been here and run everything.
