    Cons

    the pay

definitely a pyramid scheme even though they tell you its not....
working in Walmart and being told "no" all day long

    Advice to Management

Be honest with people that are coming to work. The base guarantee is not really there and it all depends on how much commission you make. The job description is a lie also because it says "pay on base, commission, and bonuses" when I was working there I never saw a bonus on my paycheck and if you make more then the guarantee you can kiss the base goodbye but wait if you are in the draw you better believe that they will take the money that you worked hard for and keep it because you owe them it.

Now lets look at the definition of a pyramid scheme:
"In a pyramid scheme, an organization compels individuals who wish to join to make a payment. In exchange, the organization promises its new members a share of the money taken from every additional member that they recruit. The directors of the organization (those at the top of the pyramid) also receive a share of these payments. For the directors, the scheme is potentially lucrative—whether or not they do any work, the organization's membership has a strong incentive to continue recruiting and funneling money to the top of the pyramid."
As just an account manager you will not make any money off of the people below you but as an assistant manager and above you will make money off people. Its not coming straight from the person its self but they do get money for you doing your job. They are always recruiting and hiring new people because you are just a body to them.

Also the positive reviews on here are done by other owners in the business.

I have been working at Oryx full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are many pros about being part of the Oryx Nashville team. The culture/team-oriented environment is one of the best because it makes going to work so enjoyable and something I always look forward to. We all share similar goals in life, so getting to work toward those goals with your friends differentiates Oryx from other companies. Everyone is so encouraging, always willing to help however possible, and pushing you to continuously grow and reach your goals.

    Cons

I have no cons about working here.

    Advice to Management

You guys are two of the best, most influential leaders I've ever worked with, keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Oryx full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They teach good skills on how to be successful at closing a sale; all of which can be easily looked up online without getting sucked into this sham of a job.

    Cons

Type of pyramid scheme. Lured into a “marketing” job with the potential to move into a management position quickly.
However, this is a sales job at Walmart. Many of which are hours away and you’re responsible to pay for the gas. Each employee is required to sign up a specific number of customers daily. The pressure on these employees to hit that “number” leads them to lie to potential clients to close a deal and/or use those potential clients’ information illegally to sign them up for services without their consent (and later cancel the account before installation). No one gets hurts, right? Wrong. It’s unethical and downright illegal.

    Advice to Management

Continue hiring young employees who aren’t smart enough to see into your unethical pyramid scheme - excuse me, “form” of pyramid scheme.
