I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people, the values we have and the competencies we strive to achieve. Engage, Develop and Connect. Great Pay and Benefits. Love the Flexible work schedule

    Cons

Long work hours, employees don't partner well across the segments

    Advice to Management

People will not leave the company, they will leave their boss especially if they are not feeling valued

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, job opportunities, a lot to learn, fast paced, generous benefits, fantastic quality product

    Cons

Culture is very poor, upper management seems very disconnected, 1st shift and 2nd shift are not treated equally, HR seems like they work against management than with management, training is severely lacking, disorganized to the point that it can sometimes be embarrassing. Office employees seem to come off as a clueless to what goes on within the manufacturing facilities. Too many inconsistencies.

    Advice to Management

There is such great potential with this company, weed out the bad eggs and cut the red tape and allow those who want to grow have more of a voice.

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only good thing about working here is the paycheck.

    Cons

Treats employees as numbers, not people. Hiring process is very misleading and in some cases straight up lies. The company has little concern with following the union contract. Worst atmosphere I have ever worked in.

    Advice to Management

Your "people first" initiative is the furthest thing from what actually is practiced. Treat your employees as people, rather than a number on a line.

    - Premium brands which are well recognized and respected
    - Lots of promotion opportunities especially as company continues to grow
    - Continuous Improvement is part of OSK DNA with a fantastic annual awards event that gives large cash donations to community organizations (winner's choice)
    - OSK Values Ethical Behavior (only large Defense contractor with NO ETHICAL VIOLATIONS)

    Cons

Room for improvement in office facilities.
