I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I'm not sure how many people outside of the Oshkosh family comprehend the scope and reach of this organization. We have offices and factories in dozens of countries, each focused on building a variety of difference-making equipment for customers all over the world. How many other jobs can you say your work helps save lives or push the boundaries of productivity and innovation? And because of the global nature of Oshkosh Corporation, team members have a very real opportunity to travel and even transplant to places most could only dream of.

    Cons

Oshkosh Corporation is a very large Fortune 350 company and with that comes the expected stress, politics and upheaval. It can leave you feeling a little adrift at times, but many would consider this con to be an exciting challenge and the rewards to be worth it.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! A vast majority of team members feel that this company is experience a renaissance at the moment, primarily because of CEO Wilson Jones and the People First culture he is trying to bring to this great company. It's never going to be easy, but you're definitely on the right path.

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The "People First" culture here is real; great benefits; fexible schedule; flexible workplace (working from home); they are always looking to improve; the community involvement is impressive.

    Cons

It takes a lot of time and coordination to get things done. The IT organization is very siloed which adds to the time and complexity in coordinating and completing projects.

    Advice to Management

Consult with your employees that actually do the work. Middle management doesn't necessarily have the insights into efficiencies that can be gained.

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Reputable global company with strong ethics, focus on safety, cutting edge technology and engineering advancements, great benefits including work/home life balance, educational opportunities, Employee First culture. I have been with the company for around 10 years and have seen the company grow, change, and be resilient during challenging times. Management listens and suggestions for improvement are always welcome. Great employee moral. I love working here! There's even a foosball table at some sites, but I prefer the free coffee.

    Cons

Can get lost in the amount of paperwork required, and time wasted documenting rather than doing. Can be a lot of extra hours and stressful, at times, to keep up with demand.

    Advice to Management
