    Pros

First off, how can you not have pride in the work we do, we save lives!

Also, Oshkosh is a people first culture! I have worked for companies in the past that say they are people first as Oshkosh does but the biggest difference is that Oshkosh actually backs it up. This comes from all levels of the organization!

    Cons

As all companies you have stress in your job, it's inevitable! The stress and challenging roles hopefully push the individuals to strive for better!

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

When you're part of making some of the coolest products in the world - where you can directly see the impact to the customer - that's something easy to get behind. Then on top of that, at work you're part of something bigger, part of a family, part of making a difference. We are working on us - our culture - on purpose and the word is getting out - this is a great place to work. Come join our family! We are humble, we are bold, we are proud, we are a family... we are Oshkosh!

    Cons

We are on a journey - things aren't perfect here but we are a united team ready to make a difference.

    Cons

Nothing too concerning or out of the ordinary. Some systems are outdated, but that is minor.

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Relaxed environment, good benefits, reasonable expectation, good work/life balance.

    Cons

Very low chances of getting promoted. I guess it all boils down to 'who' do you know and not 'what' do you know.

    Advice to Management

I guess hiring from external world is important or may be necessary but please put some efforts in promoting internal people too. It does not do good to employee morale when they see a less experienced external person is hired at a senior position.

    Pros

Great growth opportunity if you are a go getter and take your career into your own hands.

    Cons

Can be slow moving as it is an older company (100 years this year).

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Oshkosh Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Leadership is making a refreshing new commitment to the value of self development: supporting our team members, developing learning opportunities, expressing the need to be continuous learners. Benefits like PTO, volunteering, work-life balance and self-managing your workday are becoming topics that are more openly discussed and accommodated wherever possible, and the company is getting creative with applying balance in non-salaried situations as well. It's also worth noting that our products carry huge pride: we build cool things everywhere, are the top or near the top in all of our market shares, and regardless of what segment you work for, you think what you build is the coolest thing out there.

    Cons

As with any organization dealing with multiple business and business segments, collaboration across lines is a challenge in consistency and connection to corporate strategy. Communication is getting better here, though.

    Advice to Management

Continue the commitment to leadership, development, simplifying across our segments, and clarifying leader competencies.
