    Pros

    - Friendly environment
    - Commitment to Community
    - Employers care about their employees and try to show them in a variety of ways
    - Employee owned
    - Good Benefits
    - Flex time

    Cons

There aren't many at all. Maybe a little more communication about salaries. Emphasize goal of equal pay for men/women and highlight the distribution to all employees (from CEO to CSA) is fair.

I have been working at Oswald Companies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People, no company is perfect. Oswald tries hard to please employee-owners and clients and it is my personal opinion that the company is top notch in both aspects. With 300+ employees, I still feel like I'm working with a family that is well blended and understanding and working towards a unified goal. I sincerely feel that Oswald goes above and beyond to keep our employee-owners happy and I am happy and feel like I am performing an important service for a good cause.

    Cons

None. My employment is at will and I enjoy working at this company. If I don't enjoy my job, I am free to find another employer. Based on experiences at other companies, there is no reason to consider looking elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. CEO walks the floor before each holiday and personally tells each employee-owner to enjoy the holiday. Executive team is transparent and employee perks are excellent. Thank you for providing me with this excellent opportunity.

    Pros

Nice office, great benefits, decent pay

    Cons

Unless you were part of the clique you were nobody. The members of the clique could talk on personal calls for hours, play on the internet or work on their secondary business. The people on the outside of the clique could get in trouble for forgetting to cross a "T" or dot an "I' while all the members of the clique can do no wrong. I hated going on vacation because I knew when I returned I would be called into the office for something. Don't leave one minute before your scheduled time or try to leave 5 minutes early to attend your child's school function/sporting event because you will be written up for not working office hours or asked to take STA. Certain management couldn't lower themselves to say hello to the "office staff" when passed in the hallway.

I worked at Oswald Companies full-time

    Pros

The new office is nice.many of the staff are very nice people and they work hard.

    Cons

Salaries are below normal, promotions are too few. Company values are just statements not really a way to do business.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to stop getting promotions to poor performing staff especially when they are friends to senior management and then blocking hard-working personnel promotions. Youcan't just state core values, you actually need to live them.

Oswald is focused on providing client based solutions around employee health and wellbeing as well as healthcare benefits and management for employers in the mid to large marketplace. Information driven and committed to excellence.

Expect little work /life balance opportunities. Male dominated management team and career advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Oswald Companies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Smart people, hard workers, good products and services, about market on salary.

    Cons

No room for career growth if you're not a white middle aged male. Certain departments were also a revolving door (probably due to low work-life balance as other reviewers have pointed out).

    Advice to Management

Diversify upper management and get rid of the "boys club" mentality which is accepted/embraced among a lot of the producers/management there.

Wonderful community; they treat their employees extremely well. Fresh fruit twice a week, a video game room, expensive parties.

    Cons

    Pros

If you want to get in the insurance business, you can get some experience. You will learn the brokering business and a few people their know it well.

    Cons

Staff is over worked and very little accountability in the company. Management says the right things, but there is very little follow up.

    Advice to Management

Three things: treat all employees as equals, invest in training and communicate.
