    Pros

Nice co workers, and commute isn’t long if you stay in BR. Other than that’s I can’t think of much good that comes out of working for this company , they get donations all the time but can’t afford to pay worth anything!!

    Cons

Everyone who works there says the company pays cheap!! They take so much out of checks with insurance and in order to park in garage you have to bay even as a employee. To recertify for cpr you have to pay $70 it’s insane

    Advice to Management

Appericate employees more and stop being cheap

I worked at Our Lady of the Lake (Louisiana) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity for new nurses to gain experiences. Great learning and teaching environment. There are many good units to work on and some not so great, however on every unit, there is an opportunity to learn something.

    Cons

Need better/ more competitive pay. Management needs to focus on providing staffing and support staff. Management is more focused on customer service than providing staffing. High turnover of nurses.

    Advice to Management

In order to keep staff, management should provide adequate staffing.

I worked at Our Lady of the Lake (Louisiana) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good choice of varied schedules to work, good physician-nurse working relationship/collaboration, minimum of staff drama.
Learned a lot about psychiatric nursing.

    Cons

Pay schedule could be better, seems hard to advance into management.
Lapses in security at times which could be dangerous

    Advice to Management

Be open to non-traditional "management" nurses in advancement, i.e. older (also wiser?)
